Large Table Collaboration with Brian Fireman Design
I worked with Brian in his studio for awhile, maybe 2010-11, creating his designs. Much of that work was large, form carving in hardwoods for furniture parts.
He approached me late last year about engineering and fabricating an 8′ diameter dining table with him. Brian handles the wooden parts (3.125″ thick Walnut!) and I fabricated and finished the steel. The finished table weighed around 900 pounds!
It was really great working with Brian. He is a fantastic guy and the whole process of collaboration felt very natural with him. Check out his work, it’s phenomenal!
